Ms. Pentalyne Arasina Pokana is a committed and results-driven Human Resource
Associate serving the tertiary education division of Waigani Christian College.
With an academic background in psychology and leadership, she applies a holistic
approach to human resource management, ensuring that recruitment, onboarding,
compliance, and staff support align with the college’s Christian values and
educational mission. Her work reflects a strong dedication to building a positive
workplace culture and improving HR systems that support both staff well-being and
institutional efficiency.
Pentalyne has developed strong capabilities in managing hiring processes, maintaining accurate and
confidential employee records, coordinating payroll documentation, and supporting performance review
cycles. She is often the first point of contact for staff concerns and is known for her ability to
foster healthy employee relations, resolve conflicts, and promote morale across departments.
Her understanding of HR policies and national Labor laws further enhances the college’s operational
compliance and governance standards.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Papua New Guinea, complemented
by a Leadership Certificate from the Tertiary Student Christian Fellowship, where she served as a
former president. She is also certified as a Tour Guide by the Port Moresby Nature Park. Her professional
journey includes experience in both corporate and nonprofit sectors, having worked with organizations such
as Nestle PNG, Digicel PNG, Air Ways Hotels and Apartments, and the Port Moresby Nature Park. These diverse
roles have strengthened her communication, administrative, and people-management skills.
Driven by a passion for transformative HR leadership, Pentalyne aspires to advance into a strategic
human resource management role focused on talent development and organizational design within the education
sector. Her long-term ambition is to uplift educators and administrative staff while modeling Christian
principles of service, integrity, and compassionate leadership.
